Brian McGee Band
The Brian McGee Band plays traditional and contemporary roots music influenced by, the tunes and stories that have come out of the soil of North Carolina, and by the urban beat of rock and roll. Brian McGee writes songs that have been dusted by the weird old american songbag. With the help of David Hughes(slide guitar & banjo), Darin Gentry(fiddle) and Mary Dellea(bass) the band has taken Brian's originals to a place somewhat familiar, but new and up to date. The band also plays fiddle tunes of NC & WV, piedmont blues, gospel, ballads, and waltzes.

Brother 2 Brother
Brother 2 Brother follows in the footsteps of great Texas Bluesmen such as T-Bone Walker, Albert Collins, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. In addition to their faithful Rock, Blues, and R&B covers, their new original CD entitled "Lookin' for Texas" is a part of the evolution of Texas Blues, incorporating a wide variety of influences from the world of Rock, Country, Jazz, and Blues. Their new CD is getting quite a bit of airplay in their home base of Houston, Texas on KPFT 90.1 FM and they were the cover story of the Sept issue of "North of the Border" entertainment guide with CD review. Also, the CD has received glowing reviews in "Music News" and "The Scene", two more Houston area mags. On Oct. 9, 2005, they were interviewed on KPFT 90.1 FM, Houston, by Mr. V on his program "Blues on the Move". B2B is also getting airplay on Blues Programs in Canada, Argentina, Belgium, and on the #1 internet radio program in France "Midnight Special Blues Radio".

Two of the founding members of the band, bass player Mike “Lowboy” Leubner and keyboard player Norm Uhl, formed Brother 2 Brother in Jan 2003 after honing their chops backing up Texas recording artist Gene Kelton (Mean Gene Kelton and the Diehards). Vocalist Mike Vohsen, guitarist extraordinaire Robert Baker, and rock steady drummer Ned "Stickman" Maric make up the rest of the musical team.

4-piece blues outfit, injected with a healthy dose of soul, R 'n B and rock influences. Known for its feel-good music, tastefully spiced with a little humor and a lot of fun -- their live performances are audience-interactive shows with Gov leaving the stage to dance with the audience, playing guitar with his teeth, and bringing audience members up on stage to dance and sing back-up.

Michael Thomas Cash
Michael Thomas Cash showed up in the Washington DC metro area in 1984 and began making the rounds of the open mics playing covers. He quickly became popular and after hanging out at Gallagher’s Pub and becoming inspired by the likes of Mary Chapin Carpenter and John Jennings, he honed his vocal and guitar playing skills until he developed the chops to get hired around town for solo, duo, and trio gigs. Slowly he began to write and perform his own songs. After a family tragedy he hooked up with Ricky Wilkins, co-owner of The Hungry Dog Café. Michael again had a venue to hang out at and hone his skills. Soon, Ricky and others encouraged him to make a CD resulting in the debut “Dancing My Name”.

Mudbone
Singer/Songwriter, Mudbone, was born Gary Cooper on November 24, 1953 in Washington, D.C. (USA). Mudbone grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, approximately 50 miles from the nation’s capital. Muddy started singing publicly at the tender age of 3. He graduated from Baltimore City College, after which he joined legendary bassist and funk legend, Bootsy Collins, of the renowned JB’s (James Brown).

Together, they formed what became known as "Bootsy’s Rubber Band" in 1974. Bootsy and Muddy later collaborated with funk legend George Clinton and his P-Funk Allstars (Parliament/Funkadelic). Together, the trio co-wrote many classic songs including "I’d Rather Be With You" which has been covered by a wide range of artists including: Dr. Dre/NWA, Snoop Dogg, UK’s Suga Babes and most recently by Beyoncé Knowles.

The trios songs are still being sampled today by a variety of writer/perfomers, making them one of the most sampled (groups) in music history, second only to James Brown. Mudbone’s distinct voice and style of James Brown. Mudbone’s distinct voice and style of singing became a signature in Bootsy’s Rubber Band and George Clinton’s P-Funk hits throughout the 70's & 80’s. Muddy has collaborated with a wide range of artists including: Herbie Hancock, Prince, Keith Richards, Afrika Bambatta, Mtume, Roy Ayers, the Ramones and Bill Laswell to name a few. He has worked on albums, singles, television and film including "Pet Semetary" for Stephen King and the animated TV series "Funky Cops" for French television.

In 1994, Muddy performed on backing vocals with the P-Funk Allstars at the Grammy Awards ceremony. This performance was in support of the Red Hot Chili Peppers who were nominated that year.

In 1997, Mudbone appeared at the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, for the induction of P-Funk who performed with living legends - Al Green, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and "the Boss" - Bruce Springsteen.

During a chance meeting with Eurythmics founder Dave Stewart at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, Mudbone was invited by Mr. Stewart to record a solo album which was produced and co-written by Stewart. Dave also lent his legendary guitar riffs to the album. This Mudbone/Stewart collaboration bore the album entitled "Fresh Mud". The album is a hybrid collection of genres including: R&B, Rap, Hip Hop, Rock and Soul songs. The album also features the debut of "Nadz", a Jamaican MC and rap artist, along with some other "Univerzal Playaz" including Dutch saxophonist - Candy Dulfer.

In 2004, Mubone was invited to write and sing a song called "Darkness of Your Love" for the soundtrack to the film "Alfie" which was produced by Dave Stewart and Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones). The soundtrack became a critical success and won a Golden Globe Award for Stewart and Jagger for their single "Old Habits Die Hard" earlier this year.

"Fresh Mud" will be released in 2006, however, tracks will be available from I-Tunes and other digital services very shortly. Until then, check out some of the tracks by clicking the link.

Scott Huckabay
Scott Huckabay's live performances are brilliant. Left-handed and soul-inspired, he has toured extensively, opening for such artists as Crosby, Stills and Nash, Jackson Browne, Sarah McLachlan, Bob Weir, Bonnie Raitt, and Joe Satriani.

With incense burning between the strings, he begins a ritual. Dancing in a circle, he shakes his blue dolphin guitar and lifts it up to his face. Bare feet pounding, the stage echoes like rolling thunder as he leads us on a mesmerizing musical journey. Scott's live presence, along with his exciting original compositions and unique use of effects, helped to earn him the honor of Guitar Player of The Year in the Los Angeles-based Bam Magazine.

The Beautiful Girls
The Beautiful Girls are at the forefront of the new roots and groove music movement. Both live and on record they manage to blend their affection for hip hop and reggae with their love of real blues and roots. The band brings a mellow and foxy feel to everything they touch. They rap to a resolectric, rocksteady with an acoustic and they do melody like nobody else. Each of their recordings thus far has gotten strong radio support and new album 'Learn Yourself' is no exception ... it represents not just a step but a leap in their journey.
