Glendale, AZ (Population: 239,435)

Glendale Arizona is a major suburb of Phoenix with an estimated population of 239,435 as of 2005. Glendale has a host of professional league teams that play in the city, including the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, the NLL's Arizona Sting and the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl was held at the University of Phoenix Stadium and the 2008 Superbowl is also scheduled to be played there. Both stadiums, the University of Phoenix Stadium and the Jobring.com Arena are located in a rapidly growing area in West Glendale known as Westgate.

Annual events that aren't to be missed in Glendale include Glendale Glitters and the Chocolate Fest. Glendale Glitters runs from December through January and includes thousands of Christmas lights as well as a community event with concerts and vendors. Chocolate Fest is a festival with many chocolate vendors and features the City's oldest candymaker, Ceretta Candy Co.

Known as the “Antiques Capital of the World”, Glendale houses hundreds of shops in its historic downtown district. You will also find many unique restaurants in the historic district; from tea rooms to German cuisine, there's never a dull moment for your taste-buds. Many other specialty shops and museums are found here as well, including the Glendale Police Museum and a Bead Museum.
