West Valley City, UT (Population: 118,917)

West Valley City, with an estimated population of 118,917 (2006), is the second largest city in Utah. Before its official incorporation a little over 20 years ago it was an agricultural region with no parks and very few public amenities. Since then the city has added more than a dozen public parks, offering everything from hiking, biking and walking trails to world-class golf courses. Lake Park, a large corporate park that spans 87 acres, has fresh-water lakes and a 27-hole Johnny Miller signature golf course.

Culture exhibits and performing arts in the city can be found at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center and the Hale Centre Theatre. The city is also home to the E Center and the Utah Grizzlies of the East Coast Hockey League. West Valley City is also home to the Stonebridge Golf Course, West Ridge Golf Course, Rocky Mountain Raceway, USANA Amphitheatre, and the Valley Fair Mall

The city's scenic beauty is enhanced by its sense of community and its commitment to providing high-quality public services for residents and businesses. West Valley City also offers excellent public schools and short commutes to a variety of colleges, universities, and research institutions in the surrounding area. These include the University of Utah, Westminster College, Salt Lake Community College, Brigham Young University - Salt Lake Campus, University of Phoenix, Hawthorne University, and Columbia College.
